Get to Know Us
Glenorie Bakery was founded by my father Tazzy in 1992, when our shop in Turramurra was closed due to a centre remodel. This was great timing because a bakery was well needed in my hometown of Glenorie as we had nothing else available and it gave me something to do before and after school. The bakery was opened where Woolworths now stands. My mum would help out in the shop and would come across to my school to bring me fresh pizza and pies for lunch, it was great. Soon after establishment word of mouth spread about the shop’s service and products creating a successful small business. In 2005 my father asked if I would like to come back into the family business and run the shop at Glenorie. I accepted and we relocated the shop to the shopping village across the road where the bakery is today. This was a big change for me as I had been studying and working in landscaping and horticulture for 3 years, but bread… It’s in my blood.
I have been around baking all my life and I think I will be surrounded by it for the rest of my life, it is my passion that I didn’t realise I had until I took over Glenorie Bakery and it shows through the rapid expansion and growth of the business in the last few years. This bakery to me has never been about being ordinary. I am a big believer in giving people an experience they won’t forget and at Glenorie Bakery we have one goal, to be “Australia’s Greatest Bakery Experience.”We will continue to be trendsetters and pioneers in the industry, pushing boundaries whether it be with cutting edge technology or new innovative ideas. At present, Glenorie Bakery has been one of the popular treats, dining and coffee shop in the Hills District. It also accommodates different kinds of celebrations and is home to a unique rustic style design shop in Australia.

One of the successful achievements of the bakery was to create Australia's biggest, one of a kind cupcake. It weighed 400kg and was completed in 2010.
